Craftsman of the Photographic Arts is an honour bestowed upon its members by the Professional Photographers of Canada. This designation denote proven photographic ability and commitment to the advancement of professional photography, as well as service to the Association.
I’m truly proud to represent and actively contribute to the profession of photography in Canada. The PPOC has existed for over 50 years in Canada, working to keep a high standard of professional excellence in photography, as well as protecting the legal rights of photographic artists. It’s a great community to be a part of and I am tickled pink to have earned this prestigious designation.
Why should this matter to my clients?
Because the only way to earn the CPA is to have consistently excellent results in professional image competition (our Image Salons) over years. These competitions are only open to professionally accredited members (I received two professional accreditations in 2016 for Fine Art and Child Study). So, it means that AFTER receiving professional accreditations, I have also done really well in professional competition.
This means (for you the client) that my work will stand up to critical review by professional photographers. I hope you agree that this is important, because what I offer my clients is classic, timeless and high quality images that I know will stand the test of time.
