Documentary / Day in the Life photography refers to a photojournalistic approach. There is no staging or posing. The purpose is to capture REAL AUTHENTIC MOMENTS.

I am based in Calgary, Alberta and offer sessions in Calgary and the surrounding area.

All those who participate will receive a COMPLIMENTARY photo session with Alison Lapczuk Photography. Participants also receive a $150 Wall Art credit to apply towards their portrait purchase. (Total value $750). Digital and physical products sold separately.

YES… we will do a consultation call with you over zoom to prepare you for your session and ensure the best possible experience!

Your session will be used to update our social media portfolio and may also be used in promotional materials including the website, blog and social media platforms so we can share your beautiful family with the world. You will have an opportunity to fill out a questionnaire about the experience. The photographs and your answers to the questionnaire may be shared on the website, blog and social media.

Sessions will typically last 3-4 hours in order to have a variety of life documented for you to love and enjoy for a lifetime. About 2 weeks after the session, we will have a Reveal & Order appointment, where you will see your photos for the first time and we can build the albums and/or wall galleries that you desire!

While your session is complimentary, we do ask for a non-refundable $100 confirmation fee to hold your session date/time. You can use this as credit towards your order at your Reveal & Order appointment.

Absolutely! Your Reveal & Order appointment will take place via Zoom about 2 weeks after your photoshoot. As a guide, the pricing starting point is $800 for wall art, while collections begin at $2990.
